A cutting at the abandoned railway junction by Woodford Halse and Hinton in Northamptonshire. It has a surprising number of habitats, with rich wildlife. It also forms a safe corridor for creatures and plants to move along between other remnants of habitats and has long, wide, margins, forming a 'super-hedge' This is a wonderful pocket park, managed by the Wildlife Trust.A small part of the model railway based on Woodford Halse. The model railway club in town is fascinating. Some members lived or worked in town back when it was a major rail hub, prior to closure of the Great Central Line and the stations in the 1960’s ‘Beeching Cuts’. Contact the club to see if you can visit.
